In the above cases the Union argued that line management performed mail handler work and the Union learned that clerk expediters were performing mail work on the platform; issue resolved where the applicable mail handler(s) shall receive lump sum payments consisting of; $670.
19741 Tour 1; management instructed a PIV operator from the Linear Sorter to dispatch mails from the robot; Union argues that the instruction was inconsistent with past practices; issue resolved the PIV Operator shall receive a lump sum payment of $50.
19702 Tour three; in this issue a MHA worked overtime as such, OTDL bypass; issue resolved the eligible on the OTDL shall receive a lump sum payment of 7.43 hours of overtime.
Currently, all eligible mail handlers on tour three will or are receiving $180 for a violation by the Service for incorrect clock rings; the Service has neglected to have employees on the right ring associated with their job.
