Grievance Update September 2019

19062 Tour two; Grievant was served a letter of demand for taxes non-payment of an on-the-job injury was denied by the department of labor-OWCP; case closed and the taxes will be paid accordingly.

19041 All Tours; The Union argued that lead manager on tour three informed this Union that MHAs will not be trained on a PIV during their probation, union objected; issue resolved management cannot and will not deny any employee particularly an MHA PIV training because of their probationary status.

18536 Tour two; in this case the Service denied light duty mail handlers an opportunity to work their holiday; issue resolved the light duty employee(s) shall receive a lump sum of four hours pay.

19017 and 19018 Tour three; similarly, in these cases the Service denied limited duty mail handler an opportunity to work her holiday; issue resolved the light duty employee(s) shall receive a lump sum of $150 and four hours pay.

19544 Tour three; Union argued that a line supervisor performed mail handler work; issue resolve the witness shall receive a lump sum payment of $10.

19543 Tour three; Union argued that a clerk-cross craft lines performed mail handler work; issue resolve the witness shall receive a lump sum payment of $40.

19385 Tour three; in this case the Service denied light duty mail handlers an opportunity to work her holiday; issue resolved the limited duty employee shall receive a lump sum of six hours pay.
