Grievance Update October 2019

19597 Tour one; Grievant worked outside his bid assignment as a PIV operator; working outside an employee’s bid location as a PIV operator violates the National Agreement and arbitrators Chin and Simmelkjaer awards in regards to Higher level assignments; issue resolved management will follow the proper pecking order when assigning higher level for the violation and a lump sum payment of $30 will be provided.

19584 Tour one; the issue involves a supervisor performing mail handler work at the Low Cost Tray Sorter; issue resolved the applicable witness shall receive a lump sum of $20.

19583 Tour one; the issue involves an expediter performing mail handler work on the South Platform; issue resolved the applicable witness shall receive a lump sum of $40.

19582 Tour one; the issue involves a supervisor performing mail handler work at the South Platform; issue resolved the applicable witness shall receive a lump sum of $40.

19561 and 19560 Tour one; Grievant was bypassed for higher level assignment; issue resolved the Grievant shall receive applicable level 5 pay and management is reminded to follow the higher level pecking order and procedures as confirmed by arbitrators Chin and Simmelkjaer.

19557 Tour one; the issue involves a supervisor performing mail handler work at the East Platform; issue resolved the applicable witness shall receive a lump sum of $20.

19553 Tour one; the issue involves a supervisor performing mail handler work at the South Platform; issue resolved the applicable witness shall receive a lump sum of $20.

19551 Tour one; the issue involves a supervisor performing mail handler work at the Linear Sorter; issue resolved the applicable witness shall receive a lump sum of $20.

19546 and 19545 Tour one; the issue involves an expediter performing mail handler work on the South Platform; issue resolved the applicable witness shall receive a lump sum of $40.
